Flip-o-Rama is used through the Dog Man series, Captain Underpants series, and Ricky Ricotta series. To do it, you place your hand inside the dotted line, and hold the page flat. Then you grasp the right hand page with your thumb and index finger. Then quickly flip the page back and forth, and the picture will appear animated.
Usually, when people just start out, it's hard for them to understand.
Trivia[]
- In book previews and online copies, it is spelled as "Flip-E-Rama" due to online books being named e-books, and it's not possible to flip something digitally.
- In Captain Underpants, Flip-o-Rama was used for violent scenes, but in Dog Man it was used for random scenes.
- Usually, at the beginning of each Flip-o-Rama, it starts out with the phrase "flip it, don't rip it" or a variation that combines the word and a character's personality (ex. Snug flip, but Snug no rip!).
